Fake Gurus?

In the online finance space, it's easy to get mislead with the wrong information. A lot of content creators prey on inexperienced and desperate people in need of help. They have convincing content that sell you a pipe dream and get rich quick schemes behind a pay wall. "If you buy this $600 course, I'll teach you how to day trade and turn 1,000 into 20,000 in just 4 weeks." News flash, if this guru was a trading expert they wouldn't need to sell you a course on how to do so. It would be a waste of time and they'd be better off profiting in day trading.

On the other side of the coin, when there is good information it's hard to know where to start because finances and budgeting are not one size fits all. What is a Roth? How much is enough in savings before I can start investing? Dave Ramsey says "pay off all your debt, rice and beans, 15 year mortgages only! YOU ARE BROKE!" and Robert Kiyosaki says "Borrow money from the banks, and use that money to buy assets. Learn from my Rich Dad, not my Poor Dad." And the truth of it? They are both right. Shocker, right? My mentor always says "Finance advice is just people with different risk tolerances and different time horizons talking over each other."

If you were assembling a football team would you want the short 5'7 220lb stocky guy at quarterback? Would you want the 6'5 400lb strong man to play cornerback to keep up with the wide receiver? They probably aren't the type to fit best in that position, but they are still a great football player. The same principles apply to your finances, you just have to figure out what position best suits you.

At Revival, we are passionate about practical catered coaching to fit your specific needs. This is finally an individualized approach to your finances to figure out what will be the best strategy so you can focus on the most important things in your life. Your goals, your family, and your future. Lastly I want to leave you with this wisdom from the Bible because we practice faith based finances. Matthew 6:33 says to "first seek the Kingdom of God, and all things will be added to you." God > Money.
